Catering Assistant (Seasonal)

As a member of the Catering Department, your main focus will be to deliver the best customer service by ensuring the customer receives a smooth and pleasant experience whilst within any of the catering operations.

You will need to have a positive attitude and the passion to want to learn.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Delivering a great experience to our customers with great customer service
  • Adhering to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene policies and procedures
  • To have a good basic knowledge of the Park in order to help with any customer queries
  • To have a knowledge of catering products, in order to advice customers on issues such as allergies and intolerances
  • Prepare, produce and sell catering products
  • Be competent with cash handling
  • Smooth operation of serving food (including till work), the clearing of tables and operating the dishwasher

Hours of Work

Shifts will be at weekends only during school term-time. Hours can be from 4 to 8 hours a day, on a Saturday and/or Sunday dependent on availability, most weekends between 9:30am – 5:00pm.

During school holidays, an additional 2 or 3 days a week will be required in addition to your weekend shifts.

Please note: All staff are required to work over Bank Holiday weekends.

Role Requirements


The applicant should be a confident individual with good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with other staff members and our customers, including young children and have a bubbly personality.

The role can be very varied and we expect the individual to adapt to any task they are given and be prepared for a fair amount of walking and standing

Qualifications and Experience

A general level of ability and understanding is required for training. Specific retail and/or customer service prior training would be advantageous. A willingness to learn and be in a customer facing environment where you are required to interact with guests is essential.

Previous experience is not essential as training will be provided.
