We get asked lots of the questions at the park, ranging from How old is Wellington the Stag?, Can I buy ice creams?

Are bikes allowed in the Country Park?
Only bikes fitted with stabilisers or 'Balance' bikes are allowed in the park during the day.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs have always been a welcome part of our landscape and there is no additional charge. To ensure a pleasant environment for all visitors, we request that dog owners act RESPONSIBILY and to ensure they abide by the following guidelines:-
Any owner whose dog is 'Not Under Control' or causes concern to other visitors in the Park, will be requested to leave (no refund will be given)
Are we allowed BBQ’s/where are we allowed BBQ’s?
We welcome BBQ’s here at the Park however we do ask that they are raised off the ground at all times and are kept of picnic benches. We have 3 brick BBQ stands in our picnic area which you are welcome to use, however these are run on a first come first serve basis.
Can we fish in the Lake?
Our Lake is a syndicate fishing lake only and unfortunately we do not offer day passes. For more information on becoming part of syndicate, please contact our Estate Office on 01256 882694.
Do we have to pay for the car park?
No, it is free to Park your car here at the Park
Do you do cash back? Is there a cash point?
'Yes we do, on most cards. Minimum payment of £5.
Do you have a gift shop?
Our shop, also situated in the Reception Building. It carries a range of confectionery, ice cream and soft drinks as well as a selection of toys, games and gifts for all ages.
Forgotten your child’s hat, sun cream, bucket or spade, our shop can help!
Camping guests; A range of basic grocery lines are also available such as tea, coffee, sugar, sun cream and newspapers. We also offer a ‘Calor Gas exchange’ facility.
Do you have petting sessions at the animal farm?
We have regular daily petting sessions at the Animal Farm however times can vary. Please check with us on the day you visit the Park
How much is the train?
A ride on the Train costs £1.50 per ride per person. Children aged 2 and under are free
Is there anywhere to buy food in the park?
Our main café is situated within the Reception building.
Open daily from 9:30am, our cafe offers a full range of main meals, snacks and refreshments to have in or take-away.
Breakfast is served from 9:30am - 11:30am and lunch served from 12:00pm - 2:30pm. The cafe closes 15 minutess before the Reception Building.
We also have our Lakeside Café which is open during school holidays and most weekends. Open 10.30am-3.30pm (4.00pm high season), it offers hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cold snacks and ice cream.
Camping guests; If you have forgotten any essentials, our cafe carries a limited range of items such as bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and milk.
Is there public transport?
To visit the Park by bus, please take the Stagecoach Bus No. 7 from Reading (Main) Train Station or coming from Fleet, Fleet Train Station.
What time does the park open/close?
'Entrance times to the Park itself are
Low season: 9:30am – 4:30pm
High season: 9:30am- 5:30pm
The main ENTRANCE GATES to the Park, will be locked 30 minutes after the Main Reception building closes.
Please note - Different attractions close at different times. Please check timings of operation on arrival.
Where are the toilets in the Park?
There are several toilet facilities available within the Park.
They are located in the main Reception Building, adjacent to the Adventure Play Area and also at the Animal Farm.
PLEASE NOTE: Disabled and baby changing facilities are only available in the Main Reception building and in the facilities adjacent to the Adventure Play Area. There are NO baby changing or disabled facilities at the Animal Farm.
Where can we eat our picnic? (Can we eat our own food in the cafe?)
We do ask that only customers purchasing food from the Café eat inside. There are a number of picnic benches around the Park for you to use for picnics. For key event dates look out for picnic marquees!
